AI Advisory
Straight answers on AI, wherever you are on the journey
Chances are AI is already part of how your business works, from Copilot to the free chatbots people reach for on their own. AI Advisory is our plain-English practice for making sure it rests on solid foundations, is governed properly and stays compliant as it scales. Whether you are just getting started or well underway, we give you straight answers on where you stand and what to do next.
The barrier is rarely the tool
When an AI pilot stalls, it is usually not the software. It is one of three things underneath it. We check these first. Then we talk about tools.

Data
Files spread across old shares, Teams channels and personal drives. AI tools surface whatever they can reach, including what they should not.

Security and governance
Permissions that have drifted for years become visible the moment a copilot starts answering questions. Governance means knowing who owns AI use and what it may touch.

Leadership
No owner, no policy and no clear reason for doing it. Meanwhile staff may already be using free chatbots, whether or not anyone has said they can.
Three engagements, one connected path
Start with a fast, honest diagnostic. Move to a fixed-scope governance programme if you need one. Keep it current with a retainer. Every engagement starts with a written proposal and ends with a report you can act on.
AI Foundations Review
Entry. Whether you are about to start with AI or already underway, strong foundations decide how far it can scale. One integrated review of your technology, data, security and leadership gives you an honest, evidence-based answer on where you stand.
What you get
- An honest readiness score, area by area
- A clear readiness label and what it means for you
- An indicative estimate of the productivity value available
- A 90-day action plan and a 12 to 24 month roadmap
Who it’s for: leaders at either end of the journey: those just starting out who want a real answer before they commit budget, and those already underway who want to know their foundations will hold as AI scales.
AI Governance & Compliance Strategy
Strategic. One confirmed deadline, one clear answer, no regulatory guesswork. A fixed-scope programme that closes the gap against the 10 December 2026 automated decision-making obligation, with policy and a roadmap.
What you get
- A gap assessment against the confirmed automated decision-making obligation
- An AI acceptable-use policy, ready to use
- A governance accountability structure: who owns what
- A prioritised remediation roadmap
Who it’s for: any business using AI in ways that could influence decisions about customers or staff.
AI Governance Advisory
Retainer. Keeps your AI governance current as your AI use and the regulation both keep moving, with a quarterly briefing for the board.
What you get
- Ongoing regulatory monitoring and policy maintenance
- Compliance review of every new AI use case you adopt
- Staff AI-policy oversight: checking it is actually followed
- Quarterly board AI governance briefings
Who it’s for: businesses past their Compliance Strategy assessment who want governance kept current.

10 December 2026
If AI is influencing decisions about your customers or staff, the Privacy Act will expect you to say so.
From that date, the Privacy Act’s transparency rules for automated decision-making start to apply. The Compliance Strategy engagement checks where AI touches decisions about your customers and staff, then closes any gap with a policy, an owner and a roadmap, well before the date. General information, not legal advice.

Advice, not a sales pitch
We are not tied to any one vendor, so the recommendation is built around your business, not a quota. We listen before we recommend. And because we already look after networks, phones, cloud and security for Australian businesses, we see the whole environment an AI tool has to live in, not just the licence.
- Vendor-agnostic. We recommend what fits, including what you already own.
- Evidence, not opinion. Every finding in the report is backed by what we actually saw.
- Plan for reality, not theory. Built around how your business actually operates.
- Australian-based team. Your time zone, your regulatory context.

Frequently asked questions
The questions we get asked on the first call. If yours is not here, ask it anyway.
Do we need to buy anything first?
No. Most businesses already own more than they use. The AI Foundations Review starts with what your current licences include before we recommend anything new.
Is this just about Copilot and ChatGPT?
No. Those are tools. The advisory work is about your data, your settings, your obligations and the business problem you want solved. The tool comes last.
Does the 10 December 2026 deadline apply to us?
If an AI tool influences a decision about a customer or a member of staff, it may. The gap assessment in the Compliance Strategy engagement answers this for your business specifically, in writing.
Can you work alongside our IT team?
Yes. Many of our clients run this way. We fill the gaps in expertise or capacity and leave the day-to-day with your team.

Managing multiple technology vendors drains time and creates inconsistency. OneHelpdesk ties it all together with centralised coordination, real-time support and genuine expertise, giving you enterprise-level ICT support that works for businesses of all sizes.
